Outstanding antique silver plate tray is very heavy, has highly ornate and detailed grape clusters cascading on edge and handles. There is also intricate etching inside which does have some copper showing through. 14 " x 17 ". Marked and made by the Mauser Silver Co. in New York in 1896. Really special despite the very minor wear. (the photo shows the shad of the staffordshire dog on the bottom left corner)
This piece is part of the specially attained Philadelphia Main Line estate collection. These dramatic heirloom pieces are very high quality plated silver from the 1800's to early 1900's. Many pieces have some kind of tarnish that can use more polishing than I have given, some pieces can't be polished any further. If there is particular damage I will mention it in the post. Please google Cynthia Findlay silver plate in California to get an idea of historical info and also to compare my prices which are a fraction of her retail prices.
