Striking Engraved Extendable Trivet

The most intricately etched trivet I've ever seen! Pieces like these are why I love vintage and antique silverplate so much! Even something as utilitarian as a trivet is made so beautifully! The shell design on this trivet is just so striking. It extends to a larger size. It sits on 4 little feet - two appear to have a missing black piece but it does not affect the integrity of the trivet. Made by Friedman Silver Company, founded in 1894. 11.25" x 8.5"
