Fabulous Silver "Love Bird "- Salt and Pepper Shakers.

Charming and unusual  antique salt and pepper shaker set. Two little detailed silver birds are seated on a branch and can be lifted up to deliver salt or pepper.  Zoom in to see the fine details on each bird's wing and the flowers and leaves.  Each has a cork insert in the bottom to hold the salt or pepper. This darling set was made by the Weidlich Brothers Manufacturing Company. The company was in business in the USA between 1902 and 1950 and made many finely detailed silver plated serving and decorative pieces. The set measures 5" wide and stands 4" tall. Marked beneath the handle with the marker's mark, the number 122, and a patent number 148530. Very good antique condition.
