Fabulous antique silver plate from the Mappin and Webb in England. It is marked "Prince's Plate". Probably Victorian era. This pot sits on a stand and is attached by two pins which hang on chains. Both pins in keeps it stable, one pin in lets it tip over on the hinge and pour out like the nursery rhyme! Both pins out allow it to be taken off altogether. Wood handle and finial on lid allows it to stay cool. Graceful fluted details, an engraved crest like decoration on the front, paw feet and reticulated top edge on stand and place to put a candle or warmer underneath! . Amazing piece! 24x14
