This is an absolutely fabulous piece! It is extremely rare to see such a beautiful antique Victorian flower basket. In Victorian times, a bride would carry this basket with her bouquet of flowers. The larger the basket the more prestigious the bride! This basket is 15" tall and 9.5 " wide! It has a well inside to hold water and absolutely any flowers naturally fall into a perfectly arranged centerpiece when placed inside! The craftsmanship is incredible -especially all of the pierced edges that gracefully bend outwards! It is an antique heirloom. It is marked on the bottom, "KS CO electroplate on white metal". This was a symbol of the Knickerbocker silver plate company from the 1890's. The basket is over 100 years old!
