Antique 1924 Sterling Silver Women's Golf Trophy – Plainfield Country Club
Antique 1924 Sterling Silver Women's Golf Trophy – Plainfield Country Club
This beautiful miniature sterling silver trophy dates to 1924, and it has such a wonderful history! Standing just 3.75 inches tall, it was awarded to Zoe H. Terry, winner of the women's fall tournament at the prestigious Plainfield Country Club in New Jersey.
Plainfield Country Club was established in 1890 and has a long and distinguished history in American golf. Its celebrated golf course was designed by the legendary Donald Ross and opened in 1921, just three years before this little trophy was awarded!
A lovely piece of antique sterling silver with more than a century of history! 1.21 Troy Oz Sterling. Excellent antique condition. Note that it appears to sit completely flat but it doesn’t quite.
