Antique Mappin Brothers Plate Warmers Made at 222 Regent Street and London Bridge
Antique Mappin Brothers Plate Warmers Made at 222 Regent Street and London Bridge
Here are a set of highly desirable plate warmers made by Mappin Brothers in the early 1800's, the origin company of Mappin and Webb. What I love about these is they’re marked with their original address "222 Regent Street and London Bridge." What a neat little piece of history! The top piece lifts off and hot water is poured inside. Then the top piece becomes hot and whatever is on top is also heated, either plates or a single dish of food. Wonderful! 8" x 9.25" excellent antique condition with some light surface scratches
