Here is a special antique tea set! It was made in the second half of the 19th century and it has all of the character and beauty you would expect from an antique set. Made by the Middletown Plate Co. it was triple plated which means it was coated in three coats of silver. This set really caught my eye because of the intricate feet and long legs on each piece made from wheat sheaves and the delicate engraving of a vine. Even the handles have the most intricate details! Did you notice the 5th piece this set comes with? It is a waste container for your used lemons or tea bags so they don't remain unsightly on your tea table! The coffee pot is 12" tall and is missing the pin in the lid that connects it to the pot, the tea pot is 10." Due to their age, these have some tarnish and wear spots that remain (see photos).
