Antique William Hutton & Sons Miniature Ice Pail Circa Early 1900's

A handsome miniature antique English silverplate ice bucket made by William Hutton & Sons of Sheffield. I love its sleek shape, beaded rim and swing handle. This would have been used to serve chipped ice on a table rather than for chilling a bottle. 

The underside bears the company’s distinctive crossed-arrows trademark along with “W H & S,” “B P” and “Hard Soldered.” William Hutton & Sons began using the crossed-arrows mark after acquiring Creswick & Co. in 1902, dating this piece to approximately 1902–1930. “B P” stands for Britannia Plate, while “Hard Soldered” indicates its sturdy construction.

It is in lovely antique condition with light surface scratching, some wear in spots and interior discoloration consistent with age and use. 9" tall with handle held up.
