Stunning Antique Silver Tray with Bird Engraving

The very detailed craftsmanship and quality of wares made in the Victorian era are the reason we are still able to use these items over 100 - 150 years later.  For this reason we are able to offer another estate find with splendid details.  This heavy silver plated dish /tray was beautifully engraved with a detailed bird and floral combination.  Scalloped edges with a deep bowl area sits on a base with intricate details.  Made by the  Wilcox Silverplate Co. which operated in Connecticut beginning in 1865, this piece would have been made between 1865 and 1898. It is marked quadroupleplate, which means it was covered in four layers of silver.  Excellent antique condition.  10.5 x 7.75
