Brown and White Transferware Platter

I am a huge fan of brown and white transferware! This platter is no exception! 

Transferware was developed in England in the late 1700s, using engraved copper plates to transfer detailed designs onto pottery. This allowed for intricate scenes like this one to be produced more efficiently while still maintaining a very refined look.

Very good antique condition with crazing and minor wear consistent with age. No major cracks or repairs noted. 12" x 16"
