Pair of Chargers Made by the Renowned Brand, Christofle

Here is an amazing find! A pair of CHRISTOFLE Malmaison chargers. Christofle, probably the most respected name in luxury silver goods which started in Paris in 1830! Made between 1935 and 1983, these were inspired by Chateau Malmaison, a favorite Parisean Residence of Napoleon Bonaparte and Empress Josephine, these feature a gleaming silver surface surrounded by a frieze of palm leaves. A modern version of these chargers sells on Harrods for $660 a plate, so these really are still such a luxury find I am selling for an excellent price!

Christofle is known as a visionary in luxury silver as was able to attain a patent for silverplating in his country, making him the first to start creating such goods there. What made his company so special is that he invented techniques to make his silverplating the highest quality on the market, and employed not just artisans, but famed designers to create a true lifestyle brand, so unique for its time. It has withstood the test of time, which is why it is still in operation today! 

11.75" wide. These are heavy, extremely high-quality silverplate. There are some light surface scratches.
