Showstopping Antique Drink Dispenser
Showstopping Antique Drink Dispenser
Holy moly! This is a wonderful antique piece! Possibly old sheffield plate, this is a huge copper vessel covered in silver. The patina on this where the copper is showing through is absolutely incredible. I love this so much, I'm not even sure where to start! Made most likely in the late 1700's, early 1800's, this would have been sed by wealthy families and be front and center on the huntboard to provide hot water for tea or other drinks. Note the intricate details banding all along the top, and the 4 bun feet. One of the most notable features are the incredible lion ring handles! They are so substantial and just incredible! The lid sits on top and has the most delightful finial blooming out of it. A spout, possibly made from brass allows water to pass through and the little delicate handle turns it on and off. This is in excellent antique condition with wear to the silver you can see in photos. 19" tall x 12" wide.
