Antique Mappin and Webb Domed Server

Here is a lovely antique Mappin and Webb revolving server. This piece was made in England by Mappin And Webb which was founded in 1860 in London.  It is extremely high quality and in excellent condition, made in the early 1900's.

It features a revolving lid which tips all the way back, and this particular piece has the unusual feature of a pin on a chain that allows you to securely keep the lid closed.

Open it to find one removable pierced tray as well as the interior base.  Hot water can be contained in the bottom to keep food warm on your serving buffet.  The dramatic legs are tall and fluted with paw feet.  Use it as a display centerpiece as well as a special buffet or meal.  Some very light surface scratches on lid, and a monogram. 12.5" x 9" x 7"
