This immense, stunning antique Victorian silver plate meat dome is awesome! This fabulous collectible was made by Atkins Brothers from London, England!  Atkins traces its beginnings to the 1700's in Sheffield.  This dome was made by the brothers Atkins and is marked with each of their initials.  The brothers took over the firm in 1853.  Meat domes are collectible on their own as wonderful architectural pieces to display. This one is in very good antique condition, note the beaded handle and trim, even on the base.  There is a Victorian style font engraving which appears to be ERJ and WSJ.  Very romantic to imagine which couple it belonged to.  Was it a wedding gift to a wealthy couple? Very shiny, a a few minor little dings here are there. These run up to $2500 on Cynthia Findlay's site and on other antique sites. Beautiful beaded finial handle. 15 x 12 x 10" tall ⁠
