1894 Gorham Silver Basket

Gorham Silver Company had marks to signify each year that a piece was made.  This mark appears to be the 1894 mark.  The silver basket is gorgeous and has the look of the asesthetic movement style.  It has an unusual kind of "modern" design with a pointed edge on each end, and a band of period style trim.  The handle is twisted with a unique decorative point of attachment. The center bowl has a garland wreath.   It sits on a graceful base.  Elegant and special! Minor wear 12 x 10.5.
