The Best Shaped Little Antique Basket

Fabulous shape! When I first saw this piece, I was drawn to the intricate etched details on the silverplate base and the wonderfully designed handle. This is an antique piece so because of the age there is some wear and scratching to the silverplate, but I quickly realized, this is the most perfectly shaped basket! There are so many cute ways to display and use it. Put soaps in it in your guest bathroom, tea or lemons at your tea station, I used it to hold little lace envelopes for my guests to take home at a recent valentines party. 13" x 5.5" Made by Forbes Silverplate Co. between 1894 and 1898 and marked "quadroupleplate" which means 4 layers of sterling coating this piece.
