Intricate Antique Victorian Quadroupleplate Dish

This very ornately designed and executed silver plate dish was perfect for the Victorians who loved extravagance.  It was made by the Homan Silverplate Co. between 1896 and 1904.  Homan Co. began in 1847 in Cincinnati, but was only known as Homan Silverplate Co between those dates.  The dish  sits on ornate acanthus leaf feet and has a highly decorative bowl featuring beaded trim interrupted by open scrolls and garlands with flowers.  There is an M in the center. Excellent antique condition. 7" w x 1.5" tall.
