Old Sheffield Plate Candelabra Circa 1800-1825

This authentic Old Sheffield Plate three-light candelabra is a special find. FANTASTIC price for old Sheffield plate. 

Old Sheffield Plate has become increasingly difficult to find, especially in complete pieces like this.  

Made approximately 1800–1825, this piece is crafted using the original silver-on-copper process that predates electroplating. One of my favorite details is the rolled edges, a hallmark of genuine Old Sheffield Plate. This construction method was used to conceal the copper core and is one of the easiest ways to identify authentic examples.

This is over 200 years old! Therefore; there is copper showing through, some wear to the silver and the arms may not be perfectly straight, although to my eye they do look even.
