Round Antique Reticulated Silver Tray

This is a really beautiful tray with silver plated gallery sides, with rope edging at the top and sits on 4 bun feet.  It was made in the early 1900's by Crescent and featured the newly invented formica bottom. Formica was actually invented in 1913 by a young engineer working for Westinghouse. I love these trays for their history and convenience.  As well as the fact that other silver items placed on the tray stand out due to the dark grained bottom surface. The surface never gets scratched and water doesn't bother it. 12.5 D Excellent antique condition.
