Antique Meriden Salt Service Circa 1905

A very cool piece! Made and guarenteed by the Meriden Company, one of the founding companies of International Silver. This piece was designed to hold 12 individual salt shakers so that each guest at the table had their own.This set includes the original silverplated holder along with 10 of the original glass salt shakers. Finding a set like this nearly complete after more than 100 years is increasingly difficult. The holder lifts out so pieces other than salts are also able to be stored in the tray. There is age appropriate wear to the silverplate, particularly on the bottom of the holder and on some of the tops of the salts.
