Set of 6 Mother of Pearl Handled Knives

Beautiful set of 6 mother-of-pearl handled knives, each with a delicately carved tip that really sets this set apart. The carved detail at the end feels very refined. The ferrules are most likely sterling but unmarked so possible plated.

The blades are marked “Sheffield Stainless Blade – Made in England." The knives are 8.25" long. Sheffield has been the heart of English cutlery production since the 1700s, and by the late 19th and early 20th centuries it was internationally known for producing some of the finest knife blades in the world. Stainless steel blades began appearing in the early 1900s, prized for their durability and resistance to staining, while still being paired with traditional luxury materials like mother of pearl. One has a hairline crack running along the edge that does not affect the integrity at all. Otherwise excellent condition.
