The Loveliest Antique Scalloped Edge Basket

It's pieces like this that make me fall in love with antique silver all over again! This bridal basket has the most lovely details! Lets start with the interior where it features two love birds are guarding three eggs in their nest. On their left is a bluebell plant and on on their right is ivy. Just a lovely etching! The surround of this features a floral design with scallops - you know how I love scallops! The outside sides even have lovely details! Each side has a pear that has been moulded on and the hinges of the handle are adorned with leaves. There is a double handle that is moveable and features little finials on eith side. The whole basket sits on four dainty feet. Made in Meriden Connecitcut, this is a classic quadroupleplate find! Excellent antique condition. 10.5" x 9.75" x 10" tall.
