Very Rare Antique French Ice Cream Sickle and Scoop
This is a very rare and cool set that you didn't know you needed! Have you heard of an ice cream sickle? Victorians loved serving ice cream. It was not just a luxurious treat, it was a relatively new technological advance with the improved refrigeration methods of the time. Part of the luxury of ice cream, was having the right tools to serve it in a refined way. Here is a pair of fabulous and unique ice cream servers. The first is an Ice Cream Sickle of a VERY rare brand. It is made by the french maker which was later bought by Christolfe, Cailar Bayard. This is a VERY collectible piece. Use the sickle shape to pull toward yourself, shaving off the perfect thin slice of ice cream. The second is an ice cream scoop with the most darling carved wood handle. This is marked "Steiff" American Heritage Museum Collection. Both are silverplated and are 10" and 9" respectively. These are being sold as a pair. Price is for both
