Exceptional Antique Mid-1800's English Champagne Bucket

This is a fabulous antique English silver-on-copper champagne bucket, and it’s very much on the older side - mid 1800's. The form is substantial with a beautifully weighted feel, and the workmanship is excellent. Ornate side handles and roped detailing along the rim. *extremely heavy*

The front is engraved with a lion motif, a lovely decorative detail that speaks to its English origin. The bucket remains in fantastic condition, especially for a piece of this era. The sterling atop the copper on this is exquisite - so smooth, soft, and shiny. I love admiring the hand craftsmanship on this piece.

An interesting and slightly unusual shape makes this one stand out from more common examples. A strong piece for a serious silver or barware collection.
