Vintage Gorham Biscuit Barrel

I’m always drawn to pieces with lids—they tend to be both useful and interesting from a design standpoint. This small lidded piece was made by the Gorham Manufacturing Company, a firm long respected for the quality of its silver and silverplate. It’s a solid example of Gorham’s careful workmanship in a compact form.

It measures approximately 2.75″ tall by 4″ wide and works well as a small table piece or catchall. A nice opportunity to own a Gorham item in a manageable size.
